Los Angeles Dodgers Announce Godzilla Minus Zero Night With Exclusive Bobblehead and Drone Show

Godzilla is headed to Dodger Stadium this fall. The Los Angeles Dodgers and TOHO have officially announced Godzilla Minus Zero Night. A special themed event taking place during the team’s regular season home finale against the San Diego Padres on Thursday, September 24. Fans attending the game can look forward to exclusive collectibles and unique in-stadium experiences. In addition, a spectacular drone show will celebrate one of cinema’s most iconic monsters.

The collaboration is designed to celebrate the upcoming theatrical release of Godzilla Minus Zero. This is the highly anticipated sequel to the Academy Award winning Godzilla Minus One. With baseball and kaiju culture colliding. The event promises to be one of the most memorable promotional nights of the Dodgers’ 2026 season.

Exclusive Bobblehead and Drone Show

Fans arriving early to UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium for the 7:10 p.m. matchup against the San Diego Padres will want to get there well before first pitch. This is because the first 40,000 fans through the gates will receive an exclusive Godzilla Minus Zero bobblehead. It will be available while supplies last and limited to one per valid ticket.

Godzilla Minus Zero

Once the game concludes, everyone in attendance will be treated to a Godzilla themed drone show lighting up the Los Angeles sky. The Dodgers also confirmed that additional themed activations will take place around the stadium in the days leading up to the event. As a result, fans will have plenty of opportunities to celebrate the King of the Monsters before the film arrives in theatres.

Celebrating Godzilla’s Next Chapter

Written, directed, and featuring visual effects by Takashi Yamazaki, Godzilla Minus Zero serves as the direct follow up to Godzilla Minus One. The earlier film became a global phenomenon and earned the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects at the 96th Academy Awards. The original film was widely praised for blending emotional storytelling with spectacular monster action. Moreover, it introduced many viewers to a new era of Japanese Godzilla films.

The sequel is set in 1949, two years after the events of Godzilla Minus One. It follows the Shikishima family as they confront an all new catastrophe. According to the official synopsis, Japan has only just begun recovering from the devastation of the previous attack. Then, another overwhelming threat emerges, once again pushing humanity to the brink of destruction.

A Partnership Built for Fans

Dodgers Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships Lorenzo Sciarrino called the collaboration the perfect way to close out the team’s regular season home schedule. He said the organization is excited to partner with TOHO for what should be an unforgettable evening at the ballpark.

TOHO also emphasized the significance of partnering with one of Major League Baseball’s most recognizable franchises. Keiji Ota, Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer, and Chief Godzilla Officer at TOHO, described both the Dodgers and Godzilla as global icons. He said these icons have inspired generations through determination, perseverance, and worldwide appeal. Additionally, he added that combining Godzilla’s immense scale with the electric atmosphere of Dodger Stadium will create a truly one of a kind experience for fans.

The partnership is another example of TOHO’s continued efforts to expand the Godzilla brand beyond the movie screen. In recent years, the legendary kaiju has appeared in blockbuster films, streaming series, video games, comic books, and major collaborations around the world. Pairing the franchise with one of baseball’s biggest teams is a natural extension of that strategy. It demonstrates just how popular the character remains more than 70 years after making its cinematic debut.

One of the Fall’s Biggest Movie Promotions

Whether you’re a lifelong Dodgers fan, a devoted Godzilla enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys unique stadium promotions, Godzilla Minus Zero Night looks like one of the standout sporting events of the fall. Between the exclusive bobblehead, themed entertainment, and post-game drone show, the event offers plenty of reasons to head to Dodger Stadium before Godzilla Minus Zero roars into theatres nationwide on November 6.
