‘LEGO Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight’ Soon Launching Into Nintendo Switch 2

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is one of the most successful of the LEGO Batman games for many reasons. The gameplay combined with the sheer number of different Batman gear across the comic book ages that you can equip has produced a AAA game that people actually find to be quite fun. The popularity has certainly resulted in the game soon getting an upcoming DLC in the form of the Mayhem Collection. All in all, it looks like this game is doing very, very well. Especially since the game is already available for PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation, and Xbox Series S/X. A certain amount of cross-platforming is always good for a game. However, it’s not yet available on all major consoles. The Nintendo Switch 2 is notably missing here. Fortunately, as you can tell by the title of this story, that’s about to change.

Warner Bros. Games is proud to announce that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will soon be arriving onto the Nintendo Switch 2. In fact, Batman’s LEGO counterpart will swoop into the Nintendo Switch 2 on handheld or in TV mode on September 18, 2026. In fact, it’s coming out on the same date as the “Mayhem Collection” DLC, so you will be able to enjoy that on the Nintendo Switch 2 as well. You can preorder it right now directly from the Nintendo eShop. As a bonus, the physical edition of the Deluxe Edition will come with a free LEGO Retro Videogame Batman™ Minifigure. It’s only while supplies last though, so you might want to hurry.

And of course, as part of this announcement, Warner Bros. Games has a new launch trailer for that Nintendo Switch 2 version of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. You can watch that trailer either on YouTube, or just look below:

LEGO® Batman™: Legacy of the Dark Knight – Official Nintendo Switch™ 2 Launch Trailer

  • Access to the Legacy Collection DLC, incl. new suits, vehicles, and Batcave items inspired by the Batman: Arkham videogame series, Batman Beyond television series, and a party music themed pack

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Launching on September 18 for Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo fans, rejoice! For LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will soon be available to everyone who owns a Nintendo Switch 2. Indeed, the graphics still looks quite good despite the necessary downgrades it would have to have for the Nintendo Switch 2’s less powerful graphics card. The only noticeable thing is the very noticeable fuzzy lines around the minifigures, vehicles, buildings, etc. due to the less powerful anti-aliasing filter. Otherwise, the game looks like it runs fine on the Nintendo Switch 2 in that trailer. Hopefully, it will continue to run fine when we actually get to play that game for real on September 18.
