“Finding Emily” from Focus Features has found its way to the big screen. It’s becoming a rarer thing these days to see a rom-com in theaters as many are pushed aside to streaming services. In tis feature we’ll see a a young man who after a one night encounter is hell bent on finding the girl he had one amazing night with. In his pursuit, he teams up with a psychology student who at first is only interested in studying his “lovesick” condition.

Focus Features’ “Finding Emily” is in theaters August 28th.

Talking Rom-Coms With Alicia MacDonald

With the release of “Finding Emily” I spoke with director, Alicia MacDonald about the film. As times changes so do the way rom-coms and the pursuit of a partner change. MacDonald talked to us about making a “modern” rom-com that would appeal to the younger generations. About “Finding Emily”

When a lovesick musician is given the wrong number for his dream girl, he teams up with a driven psychology student to find her. Together, they spark a hilarious campus-wide frenzy that tests their own hearts and ambitions along the way.

The film stars Angourie Rice, Spike Fearn, and Minnie Driver. The screenplay is by Rachel Hirons.
