Disney+ Brings Back A Fan Favorite
“They’ll push your buttons, and make you wanna hug them.” It’s The Proud Family! Disney+ revealed that The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is coming back for Season 4 on the streamer. In addition, fans can enjoy a special holiday episode of the series later this year. Bringing back this fan favorite show has been arousing success for Disney Plus.
Millennials might have begun the fervor around The Proud Family. But, series newcomers have also warmed up to Penny Proud, Sugar Mama and all of the characters in this delightful world.
Proud Family: Louder and Prouder Season 4 On The Way
Disney+ revealed that The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder will be getting a season four. On the streaming service, Penny Proud and her family will be ready for a new set of adventures later this summer. This all comes after season three of the animated series kept up the momentum started by the reveal of this revival. Fans from all over the world were so happy to hear Penny Proud in a new phase of her life with the same warm cast of characters that drew everybody in from the word go.
The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder Season 4 hits on July 29. And, that’s a special time for the show as we near 25 years of this family on TV. In addition, there’s “A Proud Family Wizmas” to get excited about. That entry is animated in stop-motion and will offer fans a new holiday classic to boot up for a long time. What about this holiday special?
We were really surprised by this addtion. Here’s what you can expect. “A Proud Family Wizmas is a song-filled, stop-motion holiday special, produced by Disney Television Animation, part of Disney Kids & Family, with creator and executive producer Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar of BaR Productions, alongside co-director David Brooks and Portland-based stop-motion studio HouseSpecial. Kurt Farquhar returns as songwriter and composer with six new original songs to be included in this holiday special.”
What’s going on with Season 4?
Disney+ offers us a sneak peek at what’s going on this time around. “Season four finds the Proud family at a life-changing turning point. Penny Proud is pulled into a series of unexpected adventures that test her courage and identity. With more action-packed, mind-bending and heartfelt twists than ever before, the Prouds face every new challenge head-on, proving that no matter how chaotic life gets, they’re strongest when they face it together. “
As always, there are some fresh guest stars for this season. Mariah Carey, Romany Malco, Chloe Bailey, and Lorraine Toussaint all stop by. Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo, Kym Whitley, Dee Nasty, Adele Givens, and Ali Wong are also here. JB Smoove and Lashana Lynch, and more will join recurring guests Anthony Anderson (Ray Ray) and Tiffany Haddish (Ms. Hill)
