The John Wick spinoff Caine has added some serious talent in Dacre Montgomery. The Stranger Things and Faces of Death star has joined the cast in an undisclosed role according to Deadline. He’ll be joining Donnie Yen and Rina Sawayama in the film. Yen will reprise his role as Cain, the blind assassin who helps John in John WIck: Chapter 4. Sawayama also reprises her role from that film as Akira, the daughter of a man whom Caine killed.
Caine has been freed from his obligations to The High Table and it looks like Akira is out for revenge. The movie is currently in production at Lionsgate and being overseen by the franchise producers who built the series into a billion-dollar empire: Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee through their Thunder Road shingle, and Chad Stahelski, who produces through his 87Eleven Entertainment production banner. Keanu Reeves is also producing alongside John Saunders.
The script for the film comes from Mattson Tomlin, who co-wrote the upcoming The Batman Part II and the Keanu Reeves comic book adaptation BRZRKR. If you don’t know who Donnie Yen is, go watch movies like Ip Man, Flash Point, and Hero.
Who Is Dacre Montgomery?
Montgomery made a household name for himself with his role as Billy in Stranger Things. His acting credits also include Dead Man’s Wire, Power Rangers, Elvis, and Went Up The Hill. He recently starred in Faces of Death, stealing the show as the serial killer in that film.
