The Danger Days Deluxe Edition Is Officially Happening
How do you keep a My Chemical Romance fan in suspense? Try cryptically sharing the album art for an underappreciated album, with the word “Tomorrow” as its caption. That’s exactly what the band did yesterday, on the eve of tonight’s show in “The Black Parade” 2026 North American Tour; and we now know what the payoff is. As it turns out, it’s time to return to the true lives of the Fabulous Killjoys; for a belated milestone celebration.
The Instagram post kicking off intense fan speculation saw the art from Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys filling the roman numeral for 15. Seeing as last November marked a decade and a half of life for My Chemical Romance’s fourth album – the writing was clearly on the wall. Which makes this comment on the official post even more fitting:
Just over 15 years ago, we released a record we’re really proud of, called “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys”. Today we are announcing the release of the 15-Year “Deluxe” Edition of it. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. It’s just as exciting a ride through the strange and reckless apocalypse as it was back then. The future is bulletproof. The aftermath is secondary.
You can already pre-order the 15th anniversary deluxe edition of Danger Days; as well as a ton of other album related merch. So now is as good a time as any to get into what we know about what we’re getting!

The Fabulous Killjoys Are Returning Sooner Than You Think
Someone has been keeping this project under their hat for some time, as MCR’s Danger Days Deluxe Edition is set to ship on July 10th! With four vinyls, two CD variants, and a couple of cassette tapes now exclusively available on My Chemical Romance’s official site, it’s enough to crash a band’s website. Or, at the very least, slow it down.
Just in case things are running slow on your computer, I’ll clue you in on the big difference; which is the presence of a second vinyl/CD that collects 9 Bonus Tracks. A mixture of live performances and retailer/region exclusive tracks, Danger Days comes alive yet again – no matter what format you use to listen to your music.
There’s Room For More Danger Days Celebrations To Come
If I’m being completely honest, there’s only way this celebration could be more perfect. An “ultimate” box set that includes physical media releases for the music videos, as well the Gerard Way-authored The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys graphic novel duology, is clearly the dream.
With all of this on the table, it would be foolish not to celebrate that at the very least, Danger Days is getting this level of respect! I say this because fans seem to be complaining just a bit in light of this news. All I’ll say in response to that is that maybe, should the Deluxe Edition sell well enough, more products will officially be on the table. At least, that’s what my particular dream is.
That won’t stop me from preordering one of those sweet zoetrope vinyls for myself; and you should jump in if you’re even mildly interested! Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys’ Deluxe Edition will start shipping on July 10th; as My Chemical Romance continues its North American tour leg for 2026.
