New year, new movies! It’s time to get excited about this year’s film slate.
2024 looks to be a huge year for legacy franchises, spinoffs, sequels, and adaptations. Alien, Ghostbusters, Beverly Hills Cop, even Beetlejuice will return this year. We’ll also finally get to see a few movies that have been close to a decade or more in the making – everything from the Wicked musical adaptation to the Mad Max Fury Road prequel Furiosa, a sequel to Pixar’s Inside Out, and Robert Egger’s take on Nosferatu.
But if you’re looking for something new instead, don’t worry. There’s also some interesting originals already teased for 2024. We’re intrigued by the star-studded feature IF about imaginary friends and the delayed release of The Bikeriders, which seems likely to get some awards buzz.
