Terror on Tubi Heads Back to Redhaven
It’s the first day of Fall and Tubi is ready to scare some of those younger viewers with Pumpkinhead 2. R.L. Stine’s celebrated movie is back for a second round. And this time, with a special guest in Elvira, the Mistress of the Dark! Tubi managed to get the horror legend into the mix for Pumpkinhead 2. And, we’ve got a new trailer for you. Pumpkinhead 2 Gets A Brand-New Trailer
Tubi Is treating its fans to a second helping of young adult terror with Pumpkinhead 2. The free streaming service announced revealed the new trailer for Jem Garrard’s return to Redhaven. Cassandra Peterson, known to most horror fans as Elvira is also a part of this movie. R.L. Stine and the Mistress of the Dark seem like a match made in heaven.
People were excited to hear that Pumpkinhead 2 got a greenlight after the fun last time around. Now, poor Sam and Becka have to contend with a new curse. Elvira plays a witch that might hold the key to saving the town from utter calamity.
The Vice President of Original Scripted Content for Tubi is excited for the new film. “Elvira and R.L. Stine each gave me a completely different way to experience horror growing up – Elvira through her unforgettable late-night movie presentations, and Stine through twisty, page-turning novels,” Josh Van Houdt said. “Bringing them together in one film feels both nostalgic and completely fresh, which is exactly the kind of surprising combination we love creating for Tubi audiences.”
Elvira Joins The Horror Sequel
What a thrill to get a Horror icon like Elvira to be a part of the festivities. And, pairing her with a massive entity in the young adult horror space will provide a fun entry point for a lot of young fans. For her part, the star is also elated to be getting this project out into the world. Here’s what she had to say.
Peterson said, “R.L. Stine and I have been in the business of scaring kids for a long time, so joining PUMPKINHEAD 2 was such a treat. Playing Cassandra was the perfect ‘witchy’ role for me.”
What’s The Sequel About?
Inspired by R.L. Stine’s beloved The Haunting Hour, R.L. STINE’S PUMPKINHEAD 2 follows Sam (Bean Reid) and Becka (Adeline Lo) as they race to stop a new Pumpkinhead curse from claiming the entire town of Redhaven.
