‘Ahsoka’ Season Two Returns To The Galaxy In Early 2027

Ahsoka Tano in Ahsoka.

After three years of waiting, Star Wars fans finally know when the second season of Ahsoka is coming to Disney+. The release date was announced earlier today at the Disney Upfront presentation. Star Rosario Dawson took the stage and announced to the crowd that the series was coming in early 2027 for its second season. She also introduced a behind-the-scenes reel that showed off the making of season two.

Ahsoka premiered in August 2023 and was one of the bigger hits of the new era for Disney+. It was in the Nielsen top 10 for every week that it had a new episode during that first season. The second season has been in development since 2024, but with turmoil behind the scenes at Lucasfilm, it wasn’t picked back up until recently. In the past 18 months, there have only been two live-action Star Wars shows/movies put out, Skeleton Crew and Andor season two. The animation department has been busy with plenty of shows, most recently, Maul – Shadow Lord.

The second season will see Rosario Dawson reprise her role and Hayden Christensen is also set to return as Anakin Skywalker in season two. Rory McCann will take over from the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll in the series. Stevenson passed away in 2023 after completing filming on the first season.

The first season included roles from Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Ivanna Sakhno, Diana Lee Inosanto, Eman Esfandi, Evan Whitten, Genevieve O’Reilly and Lars Mikkelsen.

There’s no word on who else is returning for the second season of Ahsoka.

We’ll keep you updated on all things Ahsoka as we get more news.
