The Netflix series The Gentlemen has added some big hitters to its season 3 cast! Created by Guy Ritchie and a spin-off based on his 2019 film of the same name, the series stars Theo James and Kaya Scodelario. Now though, the series is taking fans back to Middle Earth with exciting new additions to the cast!
Elijah Woods and Orlando Bloom are both set to join the show’s third season, set in the Middle East. Dexter Fletcher, Brian Marquezine, Ed Speelers, Saffron Burrows, and Bugzy Malone are also set to join. Giancarlo Esposito and Daniel Ings are reportedly not returning but the new additions join James, Scodelario, Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Jasmine Blackborow, Harry Goodwins and Benjamin Clementine.
The series is described as follows: “When aristocratic Eddie inherits the family estate, he discovers that it’s home to a huge weed empire, and its proprietors aren’t going anywhere.”
This isn’t the first “reunion” for the stars of Lord of the Rings. Many of the cast often attend conventions together and are very obviously still close even all these years later. And the news comes just in time as a new season of The Lord of The Rings: Rings of Power is set to premiere.
But the excitement over Bloom and Woods working together is very warranted. The love that many have for the two has been years in the making. To see them interacting in a completely new property, separated from everything in the realm of Middle Earth is going to be amazing.
There is no news yet on who the two will play or how much of a role the new cast will have in the series but until we know more, we can still see Bloom and Woods together in Peter Jackson’s brilliant Lord of the Rings films.
