Helldivers 2 is getting an official crossover with Warhammer 40,000. This by itself is not new information. We’ve known that developer Arrowhead Game Studios partnered with Games Workshop to bring the two universes together back when they released a trailer on YouTube for that crossover on May 22, 2026. However, at the time, they gave no timeline for when we’ll get to see that crossover Legendary Warbond. We heard some vague rumors of an October 2026 release window, but they were basically unconfirmed rumors with no basis to go off of. Thus, we basically had no info about when we’ll get to bring the grim darkness of the 41st millennium into the equally as grim universe of a galaxy under Super Earth’s iron fist. Fortunately, as you can see by the title of this story, all that has changed today.
Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony are proud to announce the release date for the new Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond. That release date will be on August 12, 2026; and as you might expect, we will see quite a bit of gear from the Imperium of Man make their way into the hands of the Helldivers. Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond Bringing the Grim Darkness of the 41st Millennium Much Earlier Than Expected
This is it, Helldivers! We’re finally going to get that Warhammer 40k crossover warbond! And so much earlier than we expected to boot. Seriously, this warbond is less than two weeks away from release as of this writing. This means that we don’t have that long to wait for that warbond, but don’t worry if you don’t have enough Super Credits for it right now. There’s plenty of time of time to start grinding for the 1500 Super Credits you’ll need to get this one.
And from the looks of it: we’re getting a host of new toys to play with. We have a Long-Las rifle, a bolt pistol, and a meltagun as our new weapons. Heck, we’re even getting what’s basically a Melta Bomb in landmine form to blow up the enemies of Managed Democracy with. Along with some Cadian Shock Trooper armors to go with all the new weapons that even comes with a buff that improves weapon handling by 20% and support weapon reload speed by 30%, making them the perfect armor for everyone who loves those big support weapons. All in all, I’m definitely looking forward to fighting for the Emperor, er, Super Earth in two weeks time. See you then, Helldivers.
