Last Shot Gives Us A Teaser
We have a brand-new trailer for Last Shot. Andy Palmer is back in the director’s chair for the latest film released by Hemlock Circle Productions. The movie made a great showing the Dallas International Film Festival. Last Shot opened the 20th Anniversay outing for that amazing event. Check out the trailer for yourself.
Last Shot crosses-over into theaters oln October 2. But, we do have an idea of what tone to expect from this sports drama. Young Caden Issaacs has serious hoop dreams. But, a bunch of personal struggles begin to affect his game. Jaime Pressly plays Lexy, the mother who is charged with guiding her son through this difficult time in his life. Prepare to be moved.

It wasn’t just the Dallas International Film Festival that was celebrating Last Shot. The LA Film Awards also honored Pressly for her dramatic turn in this project. When she claimed her prize in March, they had some kind words for the actress. Here’s what they had to say:

What Can We Expect From The Story?
12-year-old basketball prodigy Caden Issacs navigates the turbulent waters of grief and adolescence after the sudden death of his father, Darren. Moving to Nashville to live with his estranged mother, Lexi, a driven music executive, Caden struggles to find his place on a new elite basketball team while grappling with the high expectations of those around him.
Through intense rivalries, newfound friendships, and the relentless pursuit of excellence, Caden learns to process his pain and rediscover his passion for the game.
THS’s Take On The Movie
Often times, sports dramas focus on the comma. But, everybody’s athletic journey doesn’t tend to go that way. There are tons of bumps and bruises along the way. Even for the athletes that managed to reach the top of the mountain, There was a ton of struggle to get there. Last Shot might not be the kind of rags to riches tail that audiences are probably expecting. And that makes it even more impactful for what it does do.
