It’s October — let’s get spooky! This month will see lots of new horror content hit film and TV. (But if you don’t like to be scared, don’t worry, there’s plenty premiering for you, too.)
For those looking for seasonally-appropriate scares, The Black Phone 2, Shelby Oaks, Good Boy, Vicious, and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein all premiere in October. On TV, you can check out new shows Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order on AMC and IT: Welcome to Derry on HBO.
Fall network TV also makes a big comeback in October. Fans of NBC’s Chicago-verse and CBS’s many NCIS iterations can catch new episodes this month. 9-1-1 returns to ABC along with its new version, 9-1-1 Nashville, and sitcom Abbott Elementary is also back. Over on streaming, don’t miss the return of The Witcher on Netflix, Hazbin Hotel on Prime Video, and the final season of Solar Opposites on Hulu.
Other big film releases this month include Tron: Ares, The Smashing Machine, Bugonia, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and A House of Dynamite.
